The Packers suspend WR Romeo Doubs for one game for conduct detrimental to the team

The Green Bay Packers have suspended Romeo Doubs for one game for misconduct and the wide receiver will miss Sunday's road game against the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced Saturday.

“Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week’s game,” Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said on the team’s official website. “His decisions and actions during the week had a negative impact on the team and required us to take these actions. While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we will be able to move forward positively. Romeo is a valuable member of our team and we look forward to welcoming him back next week.”

Doubs' suspension came after the wideout missed the last two practices for what the team called personal reasons. He was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday that Doubs is expected to rejoin the team next week.

Doubs, a 2022 fourth-round pick from Nevada, has 12 receptions for 169 yards on 20 targets in four starts this season. He is coming off the best season of his career in 2023, where he had 59 receptions for 674 yards and eight touchdowns (16 starts).
