New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings game thread

The New York Jets are on the road today and across the sea in London, England to take on the Minnesota Vikings. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. EDT.

The Jets were in position to pull out a win over the Denver Broncos last week before Greg Zuerlein missed a 50-yard field in the final seconds of the game. It was a disappointing setback after the Jets had looked so good in a win over the New England Patriots the previous week. Now the Jets are trying to avoid a losing record against an undefeated Minnesota Vikings team.

The Jets will need the defense to harass and confuse their old friend Sam Darnold. Darnold is off to an incredible start in Minnesota, leading the NFL in touchdown passes and passer rating. If the Jets don't find a way to slow Darnold down, it will be difficult to leave London with a win.

On offense, the Jets will face a blitz-happy Vikings defense that puts tremendous pressure on the quarterback. When we faced another blazing fast defense in the Denver Broncos last week, the Jets' offensive line folded like a cheap suit. The Jets need to protect Aaron Rodgers better this week or their chances of winning are minimal.

This is a crucial game for the Jets. If they win, they'll play the Buffalo Bills at home next week for first place in the AFC East. If they lose, they drop below .500 and face a Bills game that could leave them in a 2-4 hole. Let's hope the Jets find a way to upset the red-hot Vikings in London today.

It's the Jets and the Vikings. Have fun with the game.
