Juventus is held by Cagliari in front of Paul Pogba

MILAN (AP) — It was another chaotic day for Juventus on Sunday.

A late penalty from Razvan Marin saved the visitors from Cagliari from a 1-1 draw in Serie A.

That was the first goal Juventus conceded in the league this season. To add insult to injury, Juventus winger Francisco Conceição was sent off moments later after receiving a second yellow card.

It was a dramatic week on and off the pitch for Juventus, who with 10 men overcame a 2-1 deficit to claim victory won 3-2 in Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Before the game there was a lot of talk about midfielder Paul Pogba four-year ban for doping shortened to 18 months on Friday.

Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli didn't seem particularly keen on welcoming the French World Cup winner back when asked about Pogba before the game.

Pogba, who can resume his career in March, watched from the stands.

Juventus took the lead in the 15th minute when Dusan Vlahovic fired a penalty into the bottom right corner after Cagliari defender Sebastiano Luperto was found to have had the ball in his hand.

Juventus players rushed to the touchline to celebrate by holding up Gleison Bremer's jersey after their teammate was seriously injured in midweek.

Just when it looked like Juventus were on their way to victory, the visitors were awarded a penalty of their own after Bianconeri midfielder Douglas Luiz collided with Cagliari striker Roberto Piccoli.

Marin fired the penalty into the top left corner, tying the game with two minutes left.

Less than a minute later, Conceição went down in the penalty area after feeling Adam Obert's hand on his shoulder. He was immediately shown a second yellow card for simulation and was sent off.

In the fifth minute of injury time, Cagliari almost completed the defense, but Obert's shot landed at the near post.

Juventus remained one of two undefeated teams in Serie A. The other, Empoli, later played at Lazio, who were in top form. Later, Roma and AC Milan also played in Monza and Fiorentina respectively.
