Phillies fans and Alec Bohm's parents celebrate Red October in Philadelphia's Fishtown: “It reminds me of 2008”

Phillies fever is spreading through the city.

“We’re ready to rock. Go Phils,” one fan said.

The countdown runs until Phillies take on the Mets and fans couldn't be more excited. They brought the energy and spirit to Fishtown for a Red October rally.

“I am a Catholic school principal and that is why we pray every day for the team to win. Yes, that is a superstition. Pray,” said Jayda Pugliese of South Philly.

Dickie Noles says Mets-Phillies is always a good rivalry.

“What I like most about this team is the character of the players. They have great character, they all get along and play well together,” said Noles, a team ambassador and member of the 1980 World Series-winning squad.

And fans agree – there is something special about their team that will take them to the World Series.

“I love everything. It reminds me of 2008,” said one fan at the rally.

“There's always a great energy and that's what I really appreciate about the team: they really give the city a lot of hope and belief,” Pugliese said.

Directly across from the Red October Rally Bus was a Phillies mural at Frankford Avenue and Girard Avenue. And Alec Bohm's parents were thrilled.

“It almost brings tears to my eyes. I mean, great. They did a good job,” said Lisa Bohm.

Bohm's parents say they are so proud of their son and are looking forward to the game.

“I'm not going to lie, I'm a little nervous, but that's just typical of me. I get really nervous,” Lisa Bohm said. “It's so surreal. I have to remember to enjoy every moment.”

“It's kind of surreal to walk around a lot and see your jersey all over the stands, and when you travel it's a wow,” said Dan Bohm, Alec's father.
