Jane's Addiction Tech shares the mic track from the stage fight between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro

Dan Cleary, who worked as a guitar tech for Jane's Addiction during the infamous stage fight between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro last month, has released the isolated mic track from the not-so-pleasant performance.

Cleary has been the band's guitar technician for more than 17 years and has shared the footage and audio on his YouTube channel. Cleary also claimed in his narration of the audio recording that Farrell allegedly punched Navarro directly in the face after the onstage altercation while the two were backstage.

In the footage and audio, you can hear Farrell straining his voice at a certain point in the song. Farrell becomes visibly frustrated before shouting: “F*ck these motherfuckers, fuck them, fuck them, fuck him.”

The “he” in question was likely Navarro, who took the brunt of Farrell's anger during the onstage argument. After this particular audio clip, Farrell can be seen pushing Navarro before the set suddenly ends.

What sparked the onstage fight between Jane's Addiction members Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro?

It's still not entirely clear what prompted Farrell to take the stage on September 13th. However, the consequences were not particularly good for the band. Jane's Addiction canceled all remaining tour dates and also confirmed that they would be taking a break, blaming Farrell's “mental health issues”.

Fans have flooded the band's social media comment sections with speculation ranging from interpersonal issues to chronic technical problems on tour. Farrell has since apologized.

“Having had the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends, for my behavior during Friday's show,” Farrell said in a statement A representative issued a statement that was provided to Variety shortly after the incident.

Farrell also took “full responsibility” for how he handled the situation. His wife, Etty Lau, jumped in to defend her husband, noting that he suffered from severe tinnitus and a sore throat during the last tour, in addition to having issues with stage volume that frustrated him because of the music The rest of the band was “drowned out”. She has since claimed that Farrell is seeking treatment from an otolaryngologist and a neurologist.
