Michael Socha's life away from the spotlight – from the famous sister to the scary knife attack

Michael Socha takes on a leading role new series from the BBC Show trial as PC Justin Mitchell, a serving officer accused of killing a climate protester in a hit-and-run accident.

Michael has amassed an impressive list of credits throughout his career, including This is England, be human, Chernobyl And The gallows post. However, away from the cameras, the star's life hasn't been easy, as the star has previously admitted this telegraph that he was “stabbed in the head” during an argument.

Family

Michael isn't the only actor in his family as he is the older brother of BAFTA award-winning actress Lauren Socha. Lauren's biggest role was as Kelly Bailey in the E4 series outsiderfor which she won her BAFTA.

Lauren has also appeared in Five daughters, The other one And Unlovedin which she played the lead role along with her brother. However, Michael has revealed that he plans not to work with his sister in the future.

“If it’s me and Lauren [acting] “Together it just doesn’t work,” he told the Mirror. “We did a show together called The Unloved – I was a carer in a home and she was a child in care and Lauren couldn't stop laughing.”

Upbringing

Michael was open about his difficult upbringing and talked to him GuardianHe revealed that he and his friends would get into trouble while hanging out in the city of Derby.

When asked if he fell into the wrong group, he replied: “No, I was the wrong person. It was very violent for me and my family. There were a lot of fights, alcohol and drugs, it wasn't very nice.” None of us came from conventional families, we were all there [expletive].

“Our childhood was just one of general violence, a place where you couldn't back down from a fight, you had to fight. It was consistent the whole time.” [expletive] Time: Fight here, or this guy is after you or called you whatever and you would have to sort it out. Derby was a battlefield.

Sting

In an interview with the telegraphMichael revealed he was once stabbed in Derby while working as an actor. Commenting on the incident, which occurred after he left a pub with his friends, he said: “I ended up getting stabbed in the head. I had to work on all of this [expletive] Jobs with a bloated face.”

He added: “Well, it hasn’t gone through my head. There was an argument between my friend and another boy and then I just remember waking up and one of my friends crying on top of me.”

Michael revealed that the blade hit him above his ear, while he also bore a dent from a dog chain on his forehead.

Children

Although Michael is extremely private about his personal life, the star has revealed that he is a father of three children. His eldest child, Elis, still lives in Derby, while his younger children live in south London.

When talking about parenting, he said this telegraph: “My mother has never been impressed by a film set. I think she’s just happy that I’m a good father to my kids.”
