A multi-agency operation leads to a drug raid and arrests in Old Orchard Beach

OLD ORCHARD BEACH – A coordinated effort by multiple law enforcement agencies resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of drugs and resulted in multiple arrests on October 4th.

The Old Orchard Beach Police Department works in collaboration with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Biddeford Police Department, Saco Police Department, Maine State Probation and Parole, York County Emergency Management Agency, Southern Maine Special Response Team and Cumberland County Emergency Services Unit. executed a search warrant and conducted proactive patrols in the city at 10 p.m

The operation seized over 250 grams of suspected narcotics, various prescription pills, 2 grams of fentanyl and a significant amount of suspected drug money.

Authorities also found scales, packaging materials and other items linked to drug trafficking.

One person was medically evaluated after attempting to swallow crack cocaine to destroy evidence during the execution of the warrant.

Casandra Parker, 35, of Gray, was arrested for probation revocation and an outstanding warrant.

Philip Stanley, 33, of Saco, was arrested on 11 outstanding warrants.

Andy Lafontant, 32, of Augusta, was taken into custody on a Class C felony trafficking charge.

Benjamin Hammac, 37, of East Haven, Connecticut, was released on a summons for possession of Class D drugs, including fentanyl.

Parker was booked into the York County Jail on her warrant and probation revocation. Bail was set at $200.

Stanley's bond was set at $45,450 for his numerous warrants at the same facility.

Bail for Lafontant was set at $10,000, while Hammac was released on a summons.
