Simone Biles has a wedding ring worthy of a gold medalist.

After a two-year relationship, the Olympic gymnast got engaged to NFL athlete Jonathan Owens on Valentine's Day 2022. Owens proposed to Biles with an oval sparkler designed by Houston-based jeweler ZoFrost.

In April 2023, the two tied the knot in a civil ceremony. The low-key affair was a necessary legal step before hosting a larger wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on May 6, 2023. For their second wedding, Biles and Owens exchanged matching diamond wedding rings. The lavish celebration also included custom sneakers, live fireworks, and a water drumming performance.

Speak with Vanity Fair In January 2024, Biles spoke about how winning multiple gold medals pales in comparison to marrying Owens.

“I've never had so much fun in my life. I was 19 when I won my first Olympics and I just thought, 'How am I going to top this?' My wedding was the icing on the cake,” she said. “It was the greatest feeling ever.”

Simone's custom engagement ring certainly doesn't lack sparkle, featuring a 3-carat oval-cut diamond set on a diamond pavé band.

The stunning sparkler stud was designed by Houston jeweler ZoFrost, who has worked with several other stars including Drake and Maxx Crosby, defensive end of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Speak with Page Six In February 2022, ZoFrost announced that he and Owens had worked closely to design a “special” engagement ring for Biles.

“Jonathan has been a customer and friend for several years and I had the pleasure of helping him design this very special ring,” he said. “He and I began working with him a few months ago to select the perfect diamond for Simone, which Jonathan personally chose.”

After choosing an oval-cut diamond, Owens requested a special design detail. “He wanted to add a special touch to the ring by adding a halo around the oval diamond,” ZoFrost said. Page Six.

Biles completed her wedding band set with a diamond-encrusted ring, also designed by ZoFrost. The ring matches Owens' wedding band, which is a larger version of his wife's wedding band and was also designed by the Houston-based jeweler.

A few months after the couple married, Biles showed a closer look at their matching rings upon returning from the U.S. Gymnastics Championships. She posted a photo of their hands side by side with the caption, “together again🤞🏾.”

Her original wedding ring was from Amazon

Although Biles and Owens exchanged diamond wedding rings at their wedding in Cabo San Lucas, they opted for much more simple jewelry for their civil ceremony. Owens shared a photo from the day on Instagram showing Biles wearing a thin eternity ring while the football player wears a simple silver wedding band.

Biles later revealed on Instagram that she had purchased her original wedding rings, as well as her shoes and bouquet of flowers, from Amazon the week of her civil ceremony.

She wears a different ring in the gym

When it comes to training, Biles has revealed that she is swapping out her engagement ring and wedding band for a more durable accessory. Just a month after her engagement, the gymnast shared a photo of a white silicone ring with a single diamond on her left ring finger on her Instagram stories, writing, “Okay, HOW CUTE. So I [work out] & not damage my engagement ring.”

Days after announcing their engagement in February 2022, Biles and Owens performed at the Today Show. The Olympic gymnast told host Carson Daly that her new jewelry is her most treasured item.

“It's definitely my most prized possession now and I wear it all the time. … It's definitely better than a gold medal,” she said.
