The Kmart Pool Noodle Christmas Runner Hack You'll Want to Copy

Kmart customers across Australia are using pool noodles to create their Christmas decorations and one of the biggest trends this year is making stunning table runners out of the surprise DIY item.

“I joined the pool noodle trend and made a table runner. All from Kmart except the glitter flowers,” wrote one mom in a Facebook group for Kmart fans. “I used the $2.50 packs of Kmart balls in red, green and gold. I used nine packs in total. It cost about $45,” she explained.

In response to questions about her design, the Kmart customer revealed that she attached the homemade garland to the pool noodle with bobby pins and used a curtain rod to keep it from bending.

Another person asked if she had cut the pool noodle in half to make it lie flat, but the author of the original post revealed that she had actually used balls to stabilize the runner.

Another group member, who also sells her creations, revealed how she made her smaller runners. “I jumped on the table decorating bandwagon but didn't use a pool noodle,” she wrote in her post. “I used the rolls of wrapping paper and hot glued the flat disc-like ornaments to the bottom to stabilize them and keep them flat.”
