Jude Law bought Sienna Miller a ring worth £130,000 for Christmas

The Alfie Actor – who again with the Factory Girl Star in October 2009 after a three-year separation – surprised his girlfriend by hiding the diamond and sapphire jewellery in another of her gifts, a restored grand piano worth £10,000.

A source said: “She cried after opening the piano lid and discovering a wooden box – made of the same wood as the piano – containing a diamond and sapphire ring.”

News of the generous gift fueled speculation that Jude – who has children Rafferty, 14, Iris, 10, and eight-year-old Rudy with ex-wife Sadie Frost, as well as 15-month-old daughter Sophia from a brief romance with Samantha Burke – and Sienna will marry next year.

The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Jude would like to make Sienna his wife within the next year. Family and close friends are expecting a save-the-date card shortly.”

In August, it was reported that Jude and Sienna celebrated their love in a marriage blessing ceremony in Southeast Asia.

The couple apparently took part in a traditional “Baci” ceremony while on holiday in Laos (Southeast Asia), where their relationship was blessed by a village shaman who tied their wrists together with red and white bracelets.

Prince Nithakong Somanith, cultural and artistic adviser to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, met with the couple during their holiday and told them all about the ceremony, which is not legally binding, before sending them to the mountains to meet the shaman.

He explained: “The Baci ceremony is performed everywhere and was also performed at the royal court.

“It usually takes place on the morning of the wedding and is followed by the wedding blessing by monks and a feast of beer and rice liquor in the evening. Jude Law and Sienna Miller will already be husband and wife in the eyes of the people here.”
