Barack Obama kisses Michelle Obama under a mistletoe in a sweet Christmas greeting

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama welcomed Christmas on Sunday with a kiss and a heartfelt Christmas message.

Michelle wrote about an old photo in which the former US President kisses the ex-FLOTUS on the cheek under a mistletoe:

“As we prepare to close out this year and look ahead to the next, let us remember to reflect on our blessings and use them to give back and be kind to those around us.”

Obama posted his own congratulations on Instagram, sharing a photo of the couple with their daughters Sasha and Malia.

“Merry Christmas to you all!” he wrote. “The best part of the holiday season is spending time with the special people in our lives. I hope you all have a wonderful and happy Christmas.”

In the showdown between the last former presidents over their Christmas messages, Donald Trump took a different direction.

Trump, whose responsibility for the Capitol insurrection was laid out last week in the committee's final report on Jan. 6, was not quite so cheerful in a post on Truth Social.

“Merry Christmas to EVERYONE, including the radical left wing Marxists trying to destroy our country and the FBI who illegally coerces and pays social and lamestream media to support a mentally disabled Democrat instead of the brilliant, clear-sighted and USA LOVING Donald J. Trump,” Trump wrote.

Former First Lady Melania Trump opted for brevity. “Merry Christmas,” she wrote on Instagram with a greeting card-style image.
