Pedro Pascal was unable to attend an art exhibition in his honor in the UK.

London (CNN) – When a Hollywood star like Pedro Pascal visits a small English seaside town like Margate, it must be a great event.

However, the Emmy-nominated actor did not get the celebrity treatment he expected on Sunday when he appeared at an art exhibition dedicated to him.

Accompanied by tech podcasters Robert Diament and Russell Tovey, “The Last of Us” actor discovers that the exhibition has been closed.

Undeterred, the trio took a selfie in front of the Rhodes Gallery and posted it on social media, along with the caption: “Margit Art Friends Reunited.”

They smile and appear next to a small black-and-white sketch of Pascal under a poster by artist Heidi Gentle Burrell that reads: “Over-fixation due to ADHD and why I seem to love Pedro Pascal.”

“It was so cool,” Burrell told the Independent this week. “Although I imagine it's a bit weird with all the artwork on it.”

“It made me angry that the show was on a Sunday when the gallery was closed. I want Robert to come when the gallery is open.”

British actor and art gallery director Diament hosts an art podcast called “Talk Art,” and the Rhodes Gallery, which is hosting Burrell’s 14-piece solo exhibition, shared the image on Instagram along with several other photos of the artist.

In an email to CNN on Thursday, Jessica Rhodes Robb, the gallery's co-owner, said the exhibition was “absolutely extraordinary” and they were “so proud that it is getting the attention it deserves.”

“We were appalled that they couldn't get in and the Sunday opening policy will definitely be reviewed,” Rob added. “As an apology, we will send Pedro a gift from the gallery.”

Pascal, 48, is one of Hollywood's most sought-after actors. He has previously appeared as Joel Miller in HBO's post-apocalyptic drama “The Last of Us” and as bounty hunter Din Djarin in “The Mandalorian.”

In the eyes of many social media users, these pseudo-paternal displays have earned Pascal the sexually charged nickname “Papa.”

“My dad is a state of mind,” Tovey commented on the post, referring to Pascal’s nickname.

Margate is located about 110 km east of London in the county of Kent. Earlier this year, street artist Banksy painted a Valentine's Day mural there, which was later removed.

CNN has contacted Pascal's representatives.
