Everything we know about PenaVegas' GAF Christmas movie

Great American Family has just announced some new additions to the upcoming Christmas film LOVE AT THE KETTLE, led by Carlos and Alexa PenaVega.

In a press release from the network, it was announced that Shazia Pascal (DESCENDANTS: THE RISE OF RED), Abbey Romeo (LOVE ON THE SPECTRUM), Victoria Pratt (LATE NIGHT), Victoria Jackson (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), Kevin Valdez (LITTLE VOICE), Alan Powell (THE REASON), Dean Robin Shortland (SURPRISED BY OXFORD) and Joshua Childs (DOLLY PARTON'S HEARTSTRINGS) will join the cast.

Marcus Johns (ROCK OF AGES), Natasha Bure (A CHRISTMAS FOR THE AGES) and Mario Lopez (SAVED BY THE BELL) will also take part.

“In LOVE AT THE KETTLE (wt), aspiring singer-songwriter Bella Harlan (Alexa PenaVega) comes home for Christmas and enlists her high school songwriting partner, Jack Grayton (Carlos PenaVega), to write a song to win back her rock star boyfriend by Christmas,” reads a synopsis for the film. “When the two meet for the first time in ten years, they embark on a Christmas trip down memory lane and soon realize that true love may be closer than they thought.”

The synopsis continues: “The film centers around Jack's role with the Salvation Army, and Bella soon finds herself inspired by his dedication and passion for a life of good. With enchanting original music and plenty of unexpected twists, LOVE AT THE KETTLE (wt) shows the importance of never losing sight of the people who matter most to you.”

“This is our second film this year with Carlos and Alexa, and I'm thrilled to be back with them and working with them on a series of projects that are different from the typical romantic comedy,” said Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media. “The PenaVegas is about faith, family, compassion and love. With Alexa and Carlos starring and co-executive producing alongside Mario Lopez in a story that celebrates faith, Christmas and one of America's most beloved charities, The Salvation Army, this is guaranteed to be a winning moment for our viewers.”

LOVE AT THE KETTLE will premiere later this year as part of GAF's Great American Christmas program.
