ATTITUDE

While the previous two films were set around Halloween and the new sequel will be released on Halloween, this film changes the setting. Supernatural slasher Art the Clown will ruin Christmas in a film with the following synopsis: Art the Clown will wreak havoc among the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully sleep on Christmas Eve. The story is set five years after the events of Terrifier 2.

The Christmas setting is the focus of a teaser trailer that was put together months earlier Terrifier 3 actually went into production:

Now that filming has been completed, another teaser trailer has gone online:

POUR AND CHARACTERS

David Howard Thornton takes on the role of the clown Art again, while Lauren LaVera returns as Terrifier 2 heroine Sienna and Elliot Fullam returns as Sienna's brother Jonathan. Samantha Scaffidi returns as Terrorbringer And Terrifier 2 character Victoria Heyes. Wrestler Chris Jericho, who made a cameo appearance in Terrifier 2is also back in Terrifier 3 – but he's told everyone his appearance in the film won't last very long, so we can probably expect Art to bloodily finish him off early on. Leone told Deadline: “(Chris Jericho) is super excited. This part picks up where part two left off, which is in the asylum. So you'll see what happens there, the chaos that unfolds, because seeing how Art and Victoria ended up is so crazy, and seeing how they get out of that situation and what happens next is going to be really wild. So we got to get Chris back there and see him become part of that situation.

VOLUME

Terrifier 3 is actually the fourth film with Art the Clown. Before filming TerrorbringerLeone introduced the character (then played by Mike Giannelli) in short films included in the 2013 horror anthology All Saints Eve. When preparing for the third film, Leone said: “One of my main goals for Terrifier 3 is to recapture the horror factor of the original Terrorbringer short film. It had a really creepy atmosphere that I am still proud of. If everything goes according to plan, part 3 will be the scariest Terrorbringer until now.

The filmmaker also wants to make the third film more similar to the first. Terrorbringer Feature. In an interview with Variety he said Terrifier 3 Will “somewhat back to the tone of the first part, which I think was a little more simple and old-fashioned, a dark slasher. I want this part to go in that direction again, and I want it to be the scariest part of the trilogy. This part will actually have a little more evil undertone, so hopefully it will be the scariest and darkest. I want the audience watching this part to not be as comfortable with Art the Clown as they are now. I want to see if I can make them properly afraid of him again.

Terrifier 2 relied heavily on supernatural elements. As Leone described it to Insider: “There's obvious religious, mythical imagery, clear as day. There's a thing between heaven and hell. And the clown is this resurrected demon and Sienna slowly becomes aware that she's kind of like this Old Testament angel who's ready to fight and is going through this metamorphosis. When asked whether he had received constructive criticism for Terrifier 2 that he has in mind for the next sequel, he replied: “I wanted Second part A … Have Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors mood. That was my tone in mind and I knew I was really going to embrace that supernatural and fantasy element. I also knew I would alienate a handful of fans if I went that route. Personally, I love it. There are a lot of people who didn't like the fantasy, or at least they need more explanation as to why it all happens. I didn't want to put everything in Second partso I'll explain it as I go along. But the biggest mistake I could make now is doubling down on that fantasy aspect. So I want to correct course a little bit; let's go back to Nightmare on Elm Street Part 1, instead of continuing in Dream Warrior. This could be very helpful criticism and help me to make a better film in the future. But we will see.“Leone also wants to ensure that the new film is less than two hours long (Terrifier 2 was 138 minutes).

Leone is also working to ensure that there is an element of fun in the whole thing. He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I always want there to be levity. Art the Clown has to be his charming, quirky self. I want the audience to know that this is just a fictional world. We're here to have fun, and I don't want them to leave the theater feeling miserable. But at the same time, there's a way to make it seem like you've never met Art the Clown before. That's how I want the audience to feel. I want them to feel that this is a very scary, unpredictable character, and even though you think you know him, you don't know what's coming.

BLOOD

The Terrorbringer Films are known for their extremely bloody moments (which is fitting since they are supported by a company called Bloody Disgusting) and Terrifier 3 will be no different. In fact, director Damien Leone suggests that it will be “one of the most horrific scenes of Terrorbringer franchise“- and someone on set couldn't even bear to watch it! Since this film has a budget of “a few million,” Leone hired a team of Hollywood specialists to help him create the sickening effects. (In the previous films, all the bloodshed was done by Leone and producer Phil Falcone.) He has said he wants to make this the bloodiest, most sadistic, most depraved film in the series.”If you thought Art the Clown's reign of terror in Part 2 was extreme, you ain't seen anything yet.

PRODUCTION

Terrifier 3 Filming began in early February 2024 and has now wrapped. Leone shared some footage of Art the Clown while they were in the middle of filming:
