Minka Kelly stars in Netflix's romantic Christmas comedy

Minka Kelly is preparing to toast the holidays with her upcoming romantic comedy for Netflix.

The euphoria The actress will play the leading role in Champagne problems from writer-director Mark Steven Johnson. Kelly plays a mergers and acquisitions executive who travels to France just before Christmas to close a deal for a popular champagne brand. But the situation becomes complicated when she begins a whirlwind romance with a Parisian stranger who happens to be the son of the champagne company's founder.

Information regarding the film's release and further cast details will be announced at a later date.

Johnson was previously responsible for the streamer's 2022 rom-com Love in the Villa starring Kat Graham and Tom Hopper. He previously directed the 2020 Netflix film Love, guaranteed with Rachael Leigh Cook and Damon Wayans Jr.

Stephanie Slack and Margret H. Huddleston produce Champagne problems for off-camera entertainment.

Kelly will soon be seen alongside Josh Duhamel in the upcoming Netflix drama series Ransom Gorgewhich focuses on three families in the Texas Hill Country. Kelly played alongside Dermot Mulroney in the thriller Blackwater Trailwhich Lionsgate released last month, and her other credits include euphoria, Titans And Friday Night Lights.

Netflix has continued to make romantic comedies a priority for the platform over the years. Recent titles in this space include A family affair with Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Joey King, also Mother of the bridewhich was directed by Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove and Benjamin Bratt.
