Evil fans start petition to get Netflix to save the series and produce a 5th season

What do you do when your favorite show is suddenly canceled? Of course, you start a petition. Fans of evil are hoping Netflix will save the Paramount horror series, and they've given it their all.

Horror movie fans know that some of the best movies of 2024 were horror films – but things aren't going so well for new TV shows.

Full-blown horror stories have been very rare so far, and the successful horror series “Evil” on Paramount Plus is coming to an end after season 4.

“Evil” addresses the science versus religion debate and follows psychologist Kristen Bouchard and priest-in-training David Acosta as they reluctantly work together to investigate supernatural events within the church.

Season 5 will not be broadcast, but fans are not happy. In response to the cancellation of the series, a petition was started on change.org, which puts the ball in Netflix's court.

The petition states: “As a loyal fan of Evil, I am captivated by the all-star cast, excellent writing and gripping storylines. This series has consistently delivered quality entertainment and thought-provoking narratives that keep viewers hooked.

“The show’s loyal fan base is a testament to its impact and popularity,” it continues.

“We believe Netflix has the opportunity to continue this extraordinary series by picking it up for a fifth season. This would not only satisfy countless fans, but also contribute to the continued success of this remarkable show.”

Although nothing has been publicly announced yet, fans are not wrong in their opinion. Many of your favorite series from the past – such as Fire Country and Secret Diary of a Call Girl – are getting a second life on the streaming service.

It's still a mystery what might happen to Evil after Season 4, but in the meantime, fans are hoping for the best.

“I really hope we get some kind of open ending to the show,” wrote one fan on Reddit. “I heard the Kings are looking for someone to continue the show and there's even a joke in the last episode about how good the ratings were, so let's hope they succeed.”

“Anyway, this show is incredible and I'm just glad we got 4 seasons when so many of my other favorite horror shows get canceled after just one season.”

In the meantime, check out the best horror movies on Prime Video and the new TV shows streaming this month.
