Bobrisky released after more than 4 months in prison [Video]

Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky has been released from Kirikiri Correctional Center.

The crossdresser, who was sentenced to six months in prison, regained his freedom after more than four months in custody.

In a now viral video, Bobrisky was seen leaving prison in a luxury car with two of her friends on Monday morning, August 5.

The social media star was arrested and convicted in March after being charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with four counts of naira misuse.

Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12 by Lagos High Court Judge Abimbola Awogboro for misusing the naira.

The judge also ruled that no fine would be considered and the prison sentence began on March 24, the day of Bobrisky's arrest.
