In the meantime…

Well-known journalist Solomon Buchi criticizes gospel preachers who incorporate social media trends and secular music lyrics into their sermons.

Solomon Buchi expressed on his X-page his dissatisfaction with the preachers of the gospel who use all kinds of methods to gain listeners.

He stated that this act was unacceptable as it defiled the sanctity of the Christian faith.

God should be praised according to His Word, for He deserves the highest respect.

He also claimed that these preachers of the gospel should be classified as entertainers because that is exactly what they are, riding the wave of Christian faith.

His words: “It is sad to see 'gospel preachers' incorporating trendy and worldly musical phrases into their sermons. This is not gospel music, nor is it a sermon. It is just emotionalism; they use all possible means to confuse the listeners. I am sick of it!

“Some pastors have also incorporated the trend 12345678 into praise and worship, and this should be frowned upon. We praise God who deserves the highest reverence. Stop sullying the sanctity of our faith.”

“It's high time we called some gospel musicians what they are – they're just entertainers riding the wave of Christian faith. They're not clergy, and that's OK.”
