Get ready for an incredibly charming twist in Hallmark's Christmas movie about the Kansas City Chiefs!

News from Hallmark Channel announces that a number of new cameos are being added to the cast of the Kansas City Chiefs Hallmark Christmas movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Catrick Mahomes, a seven-year-old Bengal Tabby mix, is the ideal addition to our family – in fact, you might say he's just perfect!

Hallmark Channel News – Sly James The Cats first acting role

Clever 7-year-old cat James has won the hearts of local Chiefs fans by being dressed up as the team's star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, by his owner, teacher Brandy Peed.

The feline sensation, who is a hit on social media, is considered a lucky charm as she dons her game day outfit for every game.

According to Peed, the failure to disguise Sly James has resulted in losses for the team, so much so that it has become almost a superstition to ensure that he is disguised.

The duo always goes all out at Super Bowls to show their support. What an incredibly sweet idea to dress up the cute cat!

Hallmark Channel News – Richard Christy is also a cameo guest

Richard Christy, a Kansas City native and host of the Howard Stern Show, will also participate in the festivities. The well-known radio host, who is 50 years old, became part of the Stern Show in 2004.

His recent comments on the Chiefs' Super Bowl XVIII victory over the San Francisco 49ers earlier this year garnered attention. During a discussion about Travis Kelce's post-game kiss with Taylor Swift, Christy stated: “You have to get married. There's no turning back now.”

Hallmark Channel News – Travis Kelce’s mother and others also appear

Donna Kelce, Hunter King (formerly Summer Newman from “The Young and the Restless”), Tyler Hynes, Jenna Bush Hager and Catrick were spotted filming at Arrowhead Stadium earlier this week.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and players Trey Smith, Mecole Hardman, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and George Karlaftis were also on the field despite the scorching heat of over 100 degrees on Monday, July 15.

The cast also includes Ed Begley Jr., Diedrich Bader, Megyn Price, Richard Riehle and Christine Ebersole.

Hynes expressed on Instagram that this week was truly unique thanks to those who showed up on the field despite the extreme heat. He thanked everyone who participated in or discussed the film and the local talent who filled the stadium and provided a special energy.

Hallmark Channel News – Tyler Hynes thanked further

Tyler continued to express his gratitude, saying the week has been warm, and it's not just because of the temperatures. The 38-year-old actor also thanked mom Kelce for the wonderful photos and for helping him put a note in her son's locker.

The film centers on Alana Higman (King), who enters her family in a contest for the best Chiefs fan of the year and meets Derrick (Hynes), the team's fan engagement director.

Of course, this creates a romantic connection, because it's Hallmark! Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story is set to premiere in November as part of the Hallmark Channel's 15th annual Countdown to Christmas event.
