Aerosmith cancels rest of farewell tour, including Valentine's Day stop in Tampa [PHOTOS] | Tampa

Aerosmith has canceled the remainder of its farewell tour, “Peace Out,” including a Valentine’s Day stop at Tampa’s Amalie Arena.

The four-time Grammy-winning band wrote last Friday that its members had made the “difficult but necessary” decision to step away from touring due to 76-year-old singer Steven Tyler's vocal cord injury. That injury, sustained in late 2023, postponed the group's farewell tour and forced the rescheduling of several dates, including the Tampa date.

“As you know, Steven's voice is an instrument like no other. He has worked tirelessly for months to get his voice back to pre-injury levels,” the band said in their statement. “We have seen him struggle despite having the best medical team by his side. Unfortunately, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible.”

Aerosmith thanked its supporters, whom the band called the “best fans on planet Earth.”

According to several media reports, Ticketmaster plans to fully refund the purchase price of tickets for the canceled shows.

The Black Crowes, who were scheduled to open for Aerosmith in Tampa, now have a show at the Mahaffey Theater on Wednesday, February 12th.
