Love Island's Trey Norman reveals 'heavy heart' amid shock of 'death in the family'

LOVE Island's Trey Norman has paid tribute to the sad death of his family dog.

The 24-year-old, who took part in this summer series of the ITV2 show, posted some sweet snaps and touching words on his Instagram story.

Trey informed his fans on his page that his dog Tinkerbell had unfortunately passed away.

He wrote: “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye today to our beautiful Chihuahua Tinkerbell Norman.

“Anyone who knows us knows how much our animals mean to us.

“We love you so much, Tinks, and you will be in our hearts forever.

“We will miss them very much.

“My father bought you as a Valentine's Day present for my mother 16 years ago and since then we have spent 16 Christmases, Valentines Days and birthdays together.

“We will miss everything about you, your constant demands for cheese, protein oats, the way you dragged my father to bed like a frog and the way you constantly wanted to be taken upstairs.

“Even in our little dreams we always said you would be the oldest Chihuahua, like Spike, Tinks, our little poop pants, we love you forever and always.”

At the end of the post he tagged his family.

Trey entered the villa on Day 23 like a bomb.

He caught Jess White's attention and the two seemed to get along well.

However, when Casa Amor arrived, they both decided to move on to other things.

Trey teamed up with Ellie Jackson while Jess brought Hugo Godfroy back to the main villa.

After the twist in the sisters' villa, Ellie and Trey were abandoned and returned to the UK.

But the couple didn't last long.

Trey has since been seen with Abbie Quinnen.

The couple have had numerous dates since their stay in the villa.

Now the two have agreed on something exclusive.

A source told The Sun: “Trey didn't find love in the villa, but when he saw Abbie he couldn't wait to ask her out.

“Now everything is progressing quickly and the ‘embryonic stage’ is finally overcome!”

“They are totally blown away – and have decided to make it exclusive.

“They only have eyes for each other.”

Meanwhile, Ellie has revealed the “real reason” for her separation from Trey.
