Llandudno's Christmas extravaganza will not take place again in 2024

The free event usually takes place on a weekend in November. It was first held in 2021 and then repeated the following two years.

But the organizers have decided “out of great regret” and due to “personal circumstances” that the event will not take place this year.

However, the city's Victorian spectacle, which takes place over the May long weekend, is scheduled to return in 2025.

A statement said: “It is with great sadness and after careful consideration that I have to announce that the Llandudno Christmas Extravaganza will not go ahead this year.

“For personal reasons we can no longer continue the event.

“I hope that another group or organisation decides to organise an event for the town because Llandudno needs something like this.

“If we hear of someone taking it on, the information will be posted here.

“The Victorian Extravaganza will focus on the May 2025 event. The remaining committee will meet soon and details of involvement will be posted on this page.”

The first spectacle in 2021 attracted around 30,000 people.

In past years the event has featured market stalls, live music and entertainment, street food and more.
