Virgin River Season 6 Reveals Episode Titles – And There Could Be a Big Clue

Ahead of the release of Virgin River season 6, the clues are piling up… and the episode titles could be the biggest yet.

Updates are finally in for Virgin River season 6. New episodes are likely to arrive before the end of 2024, and set spoilers confirm storylines including a wedding, surrogacy, and brand new family members.

Now, ahead of its release, the binge-watching TV series has revealed the titles of all 10 episodes—yes, we're getting 10 in Season 6—and one of them might contain an important clue related to the ending of Season 5, Part 2.

In case you haven't noticed, Season 5 ended with Mel's biological father, Everett, showing up at her door with something important to tell her. The problem is, we have no idea what he's going to say.

The episode titles for season 6 of Virgin River are:

  • 'Brothers, Sisters'
  • 'Ghosts'
  • 'Go overboard'
  • “Hope dies last”
  • “I climbed a mountain and then turned around”
  • 'Love Story'
  • 'Prelude to a kiss'
  • 'The big day'
  • “The Broken Places”
  • “The jury is not unanimous”

While we don't know if this is the order in which they will be released, “Brothers & Sisters” could likely be related to Everett's big reveal.

One of the most popular fan theories about Virgin River season 6 is that Everett will tell Mel that she has a brother or sister she doesn't know about, and that this will expand her family as she tries to become a mother again.

“Please god don't let him be Charmaine's dad too,” one fan posted on Reddit, while a second said, “I think he's Vernon's estranged brother. The hair is too similar to be a coincidence!! But I love the Charmaine theory.”

But that's not the only interesting thing about these songs. There is a clear connection to country and folk songs that deal with breakups and new relationships.

For example, “I Climbed a Mountain and I Turned Around” is a lyric from “Landslide” by Stevie Nicks, a song about her breakup with her old flame Lindsay Buckingham.

We also see a possible reference to “Love Story,” which could mean a happy couple – most likely Mel and Jack – tying the knot. As Taylor Swift once sang, “It's a love story, baby, just say yes.”

In May, it was revealed that the cast of Virgin River was filming on a paddle steamer for an alleged wedding, sparking speculation about Jack and Mel's wedding.

Filming for the sixth season episodes was reportedly completed in June.
