Timothee Chalamet's Bob Dylan biopic 'A Complete Unknown' comes out this Christmas and collides with 'Nosferatu' |

Searchlight Pictures has officially announced that Timothée Chalamet's highly anticipated biopic, 'A complete unknown', will be released in theaters on December 25th.
Leaded by James MangoldThe film portrays the early life of the legendary singer Bob Dylanwhich documents his rise in the music scene of the 1960s.
Chalamet, known for his roles in “Dune” and “Wonka,” will not only play the role of Dylan, but will also sing the music for the role, thus demonstrating his singing talent.
Alongside Chalamet are Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny CashMonica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Dan Fogler as Albert Grossman, PJ Byrne as Harold Leventhal, Norbert Leo Butz as Alan Lomax, Will Harrison as Bob Neuwirth and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie.

According to The Holywood Reporter, the film's synopsis provides a snapshot of the New York scene of the early 1960s: “In a vibrant and turbulent time, a 19-year-old from Minnesota arrives in the West Village, armed with his guitar and his revolutionary talent, destined to change the landscape of American music. His rise to fame brings him into deep personal relationships, but his growing dissatisfaction with the folk movement leads him to make a bold, controversial decision that will reverberate around the world.”
James Mangold, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jay Cocks, spoke about his motivation behind the project.
“It’s such an amazing time in American culture,” Mangold noted.
“The story of young, 19-year-old Bob Dylan, who came to New York with just $2 and became a worldwide sensation within three years, is an extraordinary one. Initially welcomed with open arms by the folk community, Dylan's rise eventually surpassed them and redefined his place in music history,” Mangold said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A trailer for “A Complete Unknown” has already been released, featuring Chalamet performing Dylan's classic “A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall” and featuring visual highlights from Dylan's life and career.
The film was produced by Fred Berger, Alex Heineman, Peter Jaysen, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, Jeff Rosen, Timothee Chalamet and James Mangold.
With the choice of December 25th as the release date for the film, there is now a conflict with the horror film “Nosferatu“. Directed by Robert Eggers, the work is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire who is infatuated with her and causes unspeakable horror. Based on the novel by Bram Stoker.Dracula', the film features an ensemble of Emma CorrinAaron Taylor-Johnson, Bill Skarsgard, Ralph Ineson And Willem Dafoe.
This is set to be one of the biggest Hollywood fights of the year, after Gladiator 2 and Wicked, which are scheduled for release on November 22nd.
