Christmas tours of the Oak Ridge Boys and the Mannheim Steamroller stop in Green Bay

The Oak Ridge Boys will sing popular Christmas songs (and, of course, “Elvira”) at a concert on December 6 at the Resch Center.

ASHWAUBENON – The Oak Ridge Boys will make a holiday visit to the Resch Center as part of their American Made Christmas Farewell Tour on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Resch Center box office, at ticketstaronline.com and 800-895-0071. Prices are $42.50, $52.50 and $69.50.

The award-winning singing group has been a part of country music for more than half a century and has 34 top 10 hits, none more famous than the 1981 hit “Elvira.” Songs like “Bobbie Sue,” “Fancy Free,” “American Made” and “Thank God for Kids,” as well as countless honors and awards, have made the Oak Ridge Boys icons of the genre.

The group recently lost one of its most important members when tenor Joe Bonsall died on July 9 at the age of 76 from complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Bonsall was a member of the group for 51 years and announced his retirement from touring in January.

The Oaks' current lineup includes longtime members William Lee Golden (1965), Duane Allen (1966) and Richard Sterban (1972), as well as their newest member, gospel and bluegrass artist Ben James.

To celebrate their 50th anniversary, the Oak Ridge Boys announced their “American Made: Farewell Tour” in October 2023.

“We're doing a farewell tour because we owe it to our fans to say goodbye,” Golden said in a statement at the time. “They've always been there for us through good times and bad. I will always be grateful to everyone who came to a show, bought a T-shirt, played our music and overall loved us enough to spend their hard-earned money whenever they could. This tour is for you!”
