Giannis Antetokounmpo reacts to the Bucks not having a game on Christmas Day

NBA insider Shams Charania announced on Thursday evening which games the NBA will play on Christmas Day 2024. While there are plenty of exciting matchups on this holiday, there were also some notable omissions.

Among the teams not playing on December 25 this season are the Milwaukee Bucks, who have played on Christmas Day every season since 2018. That streak is set to end in 2024, which caused some confusion for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks star forward asked on social media why Milwaukee was not listed on the Christmas Day schedule.

“No Christmas game?!” Antetokounmpo wrote alongside a pair of crying-laughing emojis.

The Bucks have been knocked out of the playoffs in the first round each of the last two seasons. It's unclear whether that led to their exclusion from the Christmas lineup, but the team was ultimately passed over in favor of 10 other teams.

According to Charania, Christmas Day matches include the San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks, the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Dallas Mavericks, the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics, the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns.
