Let us dive into the story of a beautiful Villa in the heart of Paris! Just a stone's throw from the Trocadéro, the Singer-Polignac Foundation opens its doors to the Heritage Travel 2024 To 21 September! This flagship in the 16th arrondissement, with its usually hidden treasures and rare archives, offers you the chance to stroll through its sumptuous salons and discover the former studio of Princess Winnaretta Singer (1865-1943), where she painted, played the organ and received the greatest names in music and literature: Fauré, Stravinsky, Proust, Cocteau, Colette… As a bonus, you can even meet artists in the middle of rehearsals, because since 2006 the Fondation has been a veritable temple of talent from the world's leading conservatories. An event not to be missed by culture lovers!

  • Guided tour of the Salons d'apparat and the Atelier of the Fondation Singer-Polignac Hotel

    The Singer-Polignac Foundation is exceptionally opening the doors of its private residence to the public. The former home of Winnaretta Singer, Princess of Polignac (1865-1943), a great patron of the arts and sciences. Since her death, the foundation she herself founded has had its headquarters here.
    On the 1st floor, you can discover her music salon and her state salons, as well as the princess's former studio, where she painted and played the organ during the day and held her musical salons at night. Gabriel Fauré, Vincent d'Indy, Nadia Boulanger and Igor Stravinsky, but also Marcel Proust, Jean Cocteau and Colette regularly walked through the corridors of this hotel.
    During the tour you can also discover some of the princess' few remaining archives.
    Today, the Hôtel de la Fondation welcomes artists from leading conservatories every day and, since the creation of a musical residency in 2006, offers them the opportunity to rehearse in numerous specially equipped rooms. You may well meet some of these musicians in a hallway.
    Once a month, the Foundation organizes concerts reserved for professionals and patrons from the world of music and culture, giving the resident artists the opportunity to make a name for themselves. Throughout the year, cultural and scientific days are also organized in collaboration with leading universities and research centers. All these events are broadcast online and are accessible by invitation only.
