Chris Hughes injures his neck in car accident

Chris Hughes injured his neck in a car accident.

The former 'Love Island' star admitted his car was in a “sad state” following the crash on Sunday night (13.02.22), but his girlfriend Annabel Dimmock left him some painkillers, muscle ointment and a drink with the note: “For my brave boy”.

He wrote in his Instagram stories: “I had an accident on the highway last night and my car is in a sad state, my neck hurts but I have to go home now.”

The ITV Racing co-presenter was grateful to two other drivers who stopped to help him.

He wrote: “Not fun but two amazing guys came along to help and they were the best. One was in the RAF and the other had just come from work so thanks to both of them.”

“I was actually helpless and a bit meh in the situation, so I didn't know what to do.”

The couple celebrated Valentine's Day (14.02.22) together at Annabel's parents' house, where she had organized an open-air cinema experience for her and Chris.

And the accident didn't seem to have affected Chris' appetite, as he shared a video last night of the two munching on fish and chips with curry sauce.

Last year, Chris admitted he had gained some weight during the coronavirus lockdown, but insisted he was happier since losing his six-pack.

He said, “Some days I just want to eat.

“When I did the ice bath challenge, I thought, 'God, my body doesn't look the same as it did four years ago on Love Island.'”

“But I feel comfortable in my own skin. That doesn't make me any less happy with who I am now.

“If I have a vacation soon, I might go to the gym a month beforehand.

“But if I'm honest, I don't really like going there. I just go in every now and then for about 20 minutes and then get out again.”
