Violet Affleck recycles the dress Jennifer Lopez wore on her date with Ben Affleck in 2023

It looks like Violet Affleck has been shopping in her stepmother Jennifer Lopez's closet.

The 18-year-old daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner stepped out on Friday, August 9, in what appears to be the same Dolce & Gabbana dress that Lopez, 55, once wore on a date with Ben, 51.

Violet was spotted in Brentwood, California, wearing a pink and white chiffon dress with long sleeves, romantic folds and a wrap neckline. The teenager paired the formal look with red and white sneakers and half-crew socks – a very Gen Z-inspired style.

Lopez had previously worn the dress on a date with her husband Ben on Valentine's Day 2023. She accessorized with gold platform sandals, a gold clutch and a white belt with the Dolce & Gabbana logo. The star's hair was slicked back in a sleek ponytail.

The twins' moment of friendship comes amid reports of tension in Lopez and Ben's two-year marriage.

The couple spent most of the summer apart, as Lopez vacationed in both Europe and the Hamptons in New York while Ben filmed his upcoming sequel. The Accountant 2 in Los Angeles. In July, the couple spent their second anniversary and Lopez's birthday on different coasts.

Lopez recently returned to LA and began looking for a new home after the couple put the Beverly Hills mansion they bought together up for sale in May 2023.

During Lopez's stay in the Hamptons, Violet was spotted spending time with her stepmother. In photos from July 14, the two are seen arm-in-arm as they seemingly entered the restaurant 75 Main with Violet's best friend, actress Cassidey Fralin.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that Lopez and Violet “really enjoy each other's company.”

“They both seem so happy to be spending this time together and are just enjoying the moment,” the insider said.

On August 9, a source told PEOPLE that Ben was “doing well.”

“He thrives when he's busy and he's been working nonstop,” the source said. “The kids are still off school. He spends a lot of time with them too.”

“It hasn't been the easiest summer for him either,” the insider added. “He's just trying to stay focused and make each day the best he can.”
