Trial for kidnapping and assault continued because of witness used | News

On Wednesday, the prosecution requested that the trial be postponed because a witness serving in the armed forces could not testify because he was stationed in Djibouti, Africa, as part of an anti-terror mission.

Tayloe granted the motion and continued the case until a jury trial in October/November.

Suarez-Oliver is accused of kidnapping a Lyft driver and firing shots while he was being driven to an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Northwest 22nd on May 30, 2022.

Suarez-Oliver remains in the Comanche County Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
