Barça's father Lamine Yamal in hospital after stabbing

The father of Lamine Yamal, the father of the 2024 Spanish European champion, has reportedly been hospitalized following a knife attack in Mataro, near Barcelona.

The newspaper “La Vanguardia” was the first to report on the case, citing police sources.

There is no official confirmation of the incident yet.

The 17-year-old player's father suffered two stab wounds to the abdomen and was taken to hospital in serious condition.

However, his life is not in danger and his condition is stable.

Police have arrested three suspects on suspicion of attempted murder.

According to local sources, an argument escalated into violence, as a result of which Yamal's father was stabbed several times.

Yamal, who grew up in Mataró, is preparing for Barcelona's start in La Liga. He was one of the Spanish champions' most outstanding players at the 2024 European Championship.
