Police investigate fatal crash after SUV leaves highway in Laurens County, South Carolina

A driver died when an SUV left a highway in Laurens County, South Carolina, and rolled over, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. A Ford Bronco was traveling east on Highway 221 near Lake Forest Drive when the driver lost control, struck an embankment and rolled over, troopers said. The driver died at the scene. The coroner has not yet released the victim's name.

A driver died when an SUV left a highway in Laurens County, South Carolina, and rolled over, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The accident occurred on Wednesday around 3.30 p.m.

A Ford Bronco was traveling east on Highway 221 near Lake Forest Drive when the driver lost control, struck an embankment and rolled over, troopers said.

The driver died at the scene of the accident.

The coroner has not yet released the victim's name.
