Fatal accident on Highway 24 in Randolph County claims life of teenage driver

An 18-year-old teenager from Salisbury, Missouri, was killed in a car crash on Highway 24, two miles west of Huntsville, Wednesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Zander Munden was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze westbound on Highway 24 when the vehicle left the right side of the road and struck several trees. Munden was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the acting Randolph County Coroner, ND Berry, at 6:38 p.m.

The vehicle was a total loss and was towed by Prather's Wrecker.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Gipson, with assistance from Trooper Miller, Trooper Billings, the Westran Fire Department, Randolph County Sheriff's Department and local EMS.
