Skai Jackson arrested after domestic violence dispute

Skai Jackson was arrested over the weekend after an argument with her fiancé.

The actress and former child star was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence on Friday, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY on Tuesday. Jackson, 22, was arrested during a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood.

“A domestic incident occurred at Universal Studios Theme Park involving Skai Jackson,” an LASD spokesperson told the Los Angeles Times in a statement. “Based on the initial investigation, it was determined that Ms. Jackson was the primary offender and was arrested for minor spousal assault.”

USA TODAY has reached out to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and a representative for Jackson for comment.
