Sapulpa man arrested for allegedly molesting two girls, ages 12 and 16 – Sapulpa Times

Sapulpa police have arrested a man who allegedly groped two girls at the same Dollar General store on two separate occasions over the past few days.

James Michael Alexander, 39, was arrested on Tuesday, August 13, after allegedly groping a 12-year-old girl who was standing in line at Dollar General to buy a toy for her little brother.

“She went to the checkout to pay for the toy she had purchased for her brother, and while she was standing at the checkout with her back to the suspect, he reached out, groped her and then ran out the door,” Detective Randal Arnold told Fox23 on Wednesday.

Sapulpa police said Alexander did the same thing to a 16-year-old girl at the same Dollar General store on Sunday.

About three hours after Wednesday's incident, Sapulpa police found Alexander at a nearby motel, where he was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of sexual assault and indecent assault, as well as failure to register as a sex offender.

According to records, Alexander had only been released from prison in June after serving nearly two years of a sentence for sexual assault and causing a public nuisance.
