No update on Oklahoma State football’s Ollie Gordon injury

STILLWATER – As Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II left the Sherman Smith Training Center after the Cowboys' practice Thursday morning, he shouted something to Mike Gundy while the coach was speaking to the media.

Gordon's timing was nearly perfect: He caught everyone's attention just moments after Gundy was asked about rumors circulating on social media – and in most cases completely untrue – that Gordon had suffered a serious injury earlier in the week.

“I would never comment on any injuries,” Gundy said when asked about rumors about Gordon's health. “Nobody knows of any injuries in camp except me.”

There is no indication of any significant injury to Gordon.

Oklahoma State's Ollie Gordon II waits to run a drill during an Oklahoma State University Cowboys spring football practice at the Sherman E. Smith Training Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

Although Thursday's practice was closed to the media as usual, Gordon left the gym on his own two feet wearing pads and his signature orange practice jersey – not the green jersey that injured players are usually given to protect them during non-contact practice.
