College Football Playoff Rankings Release Schedule: Dates, Times

The college football season starts in less than two weeks and now the dates for the highly anticipated release of the College Football Playoff rankings have been set.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee announced the dates for releasing its rankings for this season on Thursday as selection committee members met in Southern California this week.

The rankings will be released for the first time on Tuesday, November 5, Election Day in America and Week 11 of the 2024 season, and will be released over the next four and a half weeks until the first 12-team College Football Playoffs are released on December 8. The committee also announced that conference titles will no longer be used as a deciding factor in the selection, with the top five conference champions receiving automatic playoff spots – the top four receiving a first-round bye.
