The Lakers' full schedule for 2024-25 has been released

Every year, when the signing and transfer of free agents is complete and the teams' rosters have more or less taken shape, the NBA releases each team's schedule for the upcoming season.

This summer that day was Thursday.

The Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to somehow become championship contenders again as LeBron James' career slowly winds down, but now they know what their schedule looks like and how they'll need to tackle it once the regular season begins.

In addition to their opening game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and their clash with the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day, there are a few other notable games for Los Angeles.

The first few weeks of the season will be a bit challenging. In their second game, the Lakers host the Phoenix Suns and the following night they face the Sacramento Kings, who have signed six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan.

They then begin a five-game road trip, starting with a game against the Suns.

The Lakers' first matchup against the Denver Nuggets, the team that knocked them out of the playoffs each of the past two seasons, will be on November 23. Their annual matchups with the Boston Celtics will be at home on January 23 and in Beantown on March 8.
