The Death of Matthew Perry: A Chronology of Events

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — This is how the investigation into Matthew Perry's death proceeded, according to Justice Department officials.

In September of last year, a Santa Monica doctor reportedly learned that Perry, who had a history of drug addiction, was interested in obtaining ketamine.

Investigators say a doctor and a drug dealer known as the “ketamine queen” then worked with other people close to Perry to supply him with the tranquilizer.

A month later, on October 28, the 54-year-old was found dead in his hot tub.

In June of this year, Los Angeles law enforcement sources told ABC News that their investigation was nearing completion.

That investigation ultimately led to indictment, and that brings us to today.
