Macon man arrested after attempted shooting on Riverside Drive

According to the report, he is being held without bail at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Office.

MACON, Georgia – A Macon man was arrested for shooting another man on Riverside Drive, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

They say Zavier Ottman, 42, began shooting at another man after an argument around noon, but he was not injured. Ottman fled after the shooting, the report said.

The news release states that officers found Ottman in the 100 block of Hill Street. They say he tried to flee but was caught. He was then taken to a hospital, the report states.

Ottman attempted to escape again after arriving at the hospital, officials say. He was then taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, the report said.

The sheriff's office said he was wanted in Bibb County on charges of aggravated assault and auto theft. He is now also charged with aggravated assault and escape, according to the report. Ottman is being held without bail.
