Usher announces injury, more concerts postponed – read his statement | Music, Usher | Just Jared: Celebrity news and gossip

usher speaks out to disclose his health condition and explain why he is canceling shows.

The 45-year-old singer should Past-Present-Future Tour on Wednesday night in Atlanta, but he was forced to postpone the opening show just hours before it was scheduled to begin.

Now, usher has postponed two more shows and talks about his injury.

“Earlier this week I sustained a neck injury during rehearsals to give my fans the best USHER show ever,” he said in a statement on Instagram. “My hope was that with physical therapy and medical treatment I would overcome the injury and be ready for the premiere. Unfortunately the injury has not healed yet and my doctors have told me not to do any shows this week. The good news is that the doctors say that with appropriate rest and treatment I should be ready to start the tour on August 20th in Washington DC.”

“I love my fans and thank you for understanding that this injury must be healed so that I can offer you the 100% excellence you expect from a USHER Show and that I will be on stage in your city very soon,” he wrote.

All shows in Atlanta have been postponed to December 2024.
