Frozen 3 will be released in 2027

The confirmed release date of “Frozen 3” is November 2027.

Disney CEO Bob Iger has announced that the hit franchise will return to theaters in time for Thanksgiving 2027.

The voices of Elsa and Anna will continue to be voiced by the original cast of Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell.

The news comes after Kristen, 44, announced in June that a fourth installment was also in the works.

She has previously spoken about how much joy she gets from playing the role of Anna in the hit films.

“It feels like I've stumbled upon the end of a rainbow. I really have. I grew up with the Disney Princesses singing on my boombox, and Disney movies have a unique storytelling skill. They can be wild and imaginative, but they're also intimate, and I think Frozen managed to do both. And for every kid who felt like they needed to see Frozen, or that it released them from something, or that just enjoyed the entertainment, I feel so privileged to have been a part of that, and I will for a hundred years.”

Although the plot has been kept secret so far, Josh Gad, who voices the snowman Olaf, has given us a little taste of what to expect.

“I could share things with you, but Disney would literally escort me out of the building with armed security,” he said on The View last year.

“I've heard a little bit and I can tell you guys, it's pretty overwhelming what's coming. It's pretty exciting.”

Frozen was released in 2013, and Frozen 2 was released in 2019. Frozen 2 is the highest-grossing animated film of all time, grossing $1 billion (£770 million) at the box office.
