Former Planet Fitness employee charged with sexually abusing teenager at gym

A now-fired employee at Planet Fitness in Pewaukee is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at the gym. Prosecutors said 41-year-old Maurice King approached the teen on July 19 while working the night shift in the tanning salon. King is charged with child enticement for luring a child to watch sexual acts and intercourse with a child 16 years of age or older. In a statement to WISN 12 News, Planet Fitness said, “At Planet Fitness, the safety of our members is our highest priority and we take this incident extremely seriously. The franchise group continues to cooperate with local authorities in their investigation. The employee in the alleged incident has been terminated.” Planet Fitness said it is cooperating with authorities and the employee has been terminated.

A now-fired employee of Planet Fitness in Pewaukee is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at the gym.

Prosecutors said 41-year-old Maurice King approached the teenager while she was in the tanning area during her night shift on July 19.

King is charged with child enticement by causing a child to observe sexual acts and sexual intercourse with a child 16 years of age or older.

In a statement to WISN 12 News, Planet Fitness said, “At Planet Fitness, the safety of our members is our highest priority and we take this incident extremely seriously. The franchise group continues to cooperate with local authorities in their investigation. The employee involved in the alleged incident has been terminated.”

Planet Fitness said it was cooperating with authorities and that the employee had been fired.
