North Liberty man arrested in Davenport for child pornography

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A North Liberty, Iowa man was arrested in Davenport on child pornography charges.

Joshua Lighton, 40, was arrested on a warrant in Davenport and booked into the Scott County Jail. He is charged with 15 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and purchasing materials, court records show.

The allegations against Lighton are as follows.

On May 17, 2022, Davenport police were called to the 1200 block of Calvin Street because a hidden camera had been found in the bathroom, police said. The following charges stem from the examination of multiple devices and social media accounts.

According to an affidavit, Lighton possessed 38 images depicting underage men and/or women in varying states of nudity.

According to the arrest affidavit, the age range of these images is from toddlers to early/mid-teens.

According to court documents, Lighton was booked into the Scott County Jail at around 1:23 p.m. Thursday.
