Maxx Crosby involved in wild brawl at Las Vegas Raiders training

The Las Vegas Raiders did not have any major scuffles during the training break, but on Thursday that changed fundamentally.

According to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez, things got heated when linebacker Robert Spillane and undrafted center Will Putnam clashed several times during the session.

But it wasn't until star edge rusher Maxx Crosby stepped in and took at least three hits from the rookie before ripping the helmet off his head and throwing it away that things really got going. Then the DJ stole the show at practice.

“Wild Raiders camp moment,” Gutierrez tweeted. “Robert Spillane and UDFA C Will Putnam got into a fight twice, then Maxx Crosby got involved, punched Putnam at least three times, then ripped the helmet off his head and threw him across the field.”

“The music DJ responded with the Rocky theme and then We Are Family…”

Well played by the DJ. Unfortunately there is no video of the fight.

According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the DJ also played several Disney songs, including “Let it go” from the movie “Frozen,” according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic. Just fantastic work.

The Raiders practiced indoors and didn't wear protective gear, so it looked like it would be a more relaxed practice. The players obviously had other plans.
