Four people arrested for murder of soap actor

Four people have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of actor Johnny Wactor in Los Angeles.

The suspects were arrested Thursday by Los Angeles police in connection with the killing of the “General Hospital” star, who was gunned down in May as he left work.

Robert Barceleau, Leonel Gutierrez and Sergio Estrada, all 18, were arrested on suspicion of murder. Frank Olano, 22, was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to the crime.

Wactor was shot while stopping thieves from stealing the catalytic converter from his car around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 25.

The 37-year-old had just finished work with a colleague in a bar on a roof when he saw three men lifting his car. According to police, one of the men then shot Wactor without provocation and killed him.

The men fled in a car before Wactor was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to his chest.

The suspects, who live in Huntington Park, Inglewood and cities in Los Angeles County, are being held on $2 million bail.

Police executed search warrants that led to the arrests Thursday morning and seized evidence in buildings in LA.

“I can’t ask him if he’s coming home for Christmas”

Earlier this month, police asked the public for help in identifying the suspects and released surveillance images of them and their getaway car.
