Florida man arrested for alleged threat in Oneida County

CAMDEN, NY — According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, a Florida man was arrested following a threatening investigation.

On Thursday, August 15, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies received a complaint of a threat with a firearm in the town of Camden.

During the investigation, officers made contact with a man later identified as Richard B. Danise, 51, of Florida.

During the interview with Danise, officers who responded to him searched him for weapons and found a loaded firearm that was illegally owned.

The investigation was handed over to members of the Criminal Investigation Department. On Friday morning, the Criminal Investigation Department charged Danise with illegal possession of a firearm, a category E offence.

Danise's summons was processed at the Camden Field Office, she was released and given a summons to appear before the Camden City Court at a later date.
