PSP REPORTS: ACCIDENT, MEGAN'S BREAKING OF THE LAW

One person was slightly injured in an accident last Friday in Rayne Township.

State police were called to a one-vehicle crash on Route 110 at approximately 5:36 p.m. They stated that the driver, 52-year-old Angela Hammer of Ernest, suffered a medical emergency while driving and went into an embankment in the northbound lanes before striking a tree.

Hammer suffered what is believed to be a minor injury but was not taken to a medical facility for treatment. Citizens' Ambulance personnel assisted state police at the scene.

State police are investigating an incident from August 1. Officials say they received a request to investigate a violation of Megan's Law and found that the suspect, who was not named in the reports, did not show up for their annual update. The individual was contacted and brought into compliance. The investigation is ongoing.
