Matthew Paluzzi faces murder charges – NBC Boston

A man accused of killing his father in his Plymouth, Massachusetts, home appeared in court Friday.

Matthew Paluzzi, 26, was charged with the murder of his father, 73-year-old Anthony Paluzzi, and was tried in Plymouth District Court.

According to District Attorney Tim Cruz, Paluzzi was reported “unresponsive and bleeding from a cut to his neck” in a 911 call from his wife on Thursday at around 6:26 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Paluzzi's cause of death is still under investigation, but Cruz said the preliminary conclusion is that he died from a stab wound to the neck, although other injuries are possible. The scene was bloody, and a kitchen knife was found nearby.

Police said they were looking for Paluzzi's son during the investigation, Cruz said.

A 26-year-old man will appear in court on Thursday for allegedly stabbing his father to death in his Plymouth home.

A video from the Massachusetts State Police shows officers catching up with Matthew Paluzzi's Nissan Murano, quickly surrounding him and then arresting him.

“I know they've had some problems, but you can't even imagine something like this happening,” said neighbor Lisa Caola.
