Bail denied for two teenagers accused of murdering a 64-year-old in Omaha

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Two of the five teenagers arrested for the murder of a 64-year-old Omaha man will appear in Douglas County District Court Friday.

Trenton Titswoth-Hunt, 17, is charged with murder, robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon by a non-criminal person; Joseph Keyes, 14, is charged with murder and robbery.

A 6 News reporter is in the courtroom after Mursal Jama was murdered earlier this week.

They are being held without bail.

Four boys were arrested Tuesday night and Omaha police confirmed that another 16-year-old boy was arrested Thursday.

The Douglas County prosecutor is asking for parental supervision after four teenagers were involved in a murder in Omaha earlier this week.

All five face robbery charges. Investigators say they attempted to steal someone's car at a convenience store on the corner of 120th Street and West Dodge Road before the murder Tuesday night.

Investigators believe that Jama's death was a crime of opportunity for the suspects.

Jama had just finished his shift as an Uber driver – a part-time job he used to support his family – when the murder occurred.
